This is the head temple of the Jodo sect of Buddhism, built on land associated with the monk Honen. The temple is home to numerous important cultural properties. You can take photos within the grounds, which include the national treasures Goei-do Hall, Sanmon Gate, Hojo Garden, and Yuzen-en Garden.
